It certainly would appear that moronic statements are not limited to the simple man or woman in the street witness comments very recently made by Leslie Miller and Rupert Roberts.
I say again if these two gentlemen, in association, with the leader of the Opposition, had any sensible comments to make concerning how to handle the ongoing problem of single use plastics, in particular the plastic bags used by supermarkets, why the hell could they not make their voices heard in the year before the bans came into effect.
The reader will note the length of time anybody had to make suggestions, I repeat, in excess of one year the Bahamas has known that these products would be banned.
Of course, it could be argued that Mr. Roberts was one of the major causes of this whole problem, his stores issued the offending bags and he knew the ban was coming, would it not have proven beneficial if he had displayed notices by every cashier, in his stores, advising that the plastic bags were to be banned from the 1st. January.
No, far too simple and sensible for someone of his advanced acumen(sic).
Mr. Miller reaffirmed his total lack of sense when he said it was ludicrous that the customer should have to carry shopping bags!!!
I am quite certain that all three of these gentlemen assume, because of their position in society that we hold them in high regard and respect; after their oafish displays these past couple of weeks, it must be said, not any more!
In total dismay,
