A Grand Alliance of all Motoring Organisations in Nassau is planning to hold a major Hurricane Dorian Relief Extravaganza to further raise our awareness to the on-going plight of our brethren still suffering from the ravages done on our beautiful islands of the Abacos and Grand Bahama. We invite the general public to come out and support this initiative, this is an event for the whole family; special emphasis will be placed on activities for the children, such as bouncing castles, face painting and other fun activities, of course we will expect the obligatory Junkanoo Rushout! Later in the evening we will be having a number of well-known Bahamian entertainers to bring our exciting day to a close. During the day we expect food vendors to keep away those hunger bugs and commercial entities to show off their wares.
Do come out with your wallets and purses, fully loaded, to help where-ever you can
– when - on Saturday, 12th. October
– where – The Bahamas Hot Rod Association Motorsports Park at the Q.E. sports centre.
The Antique Auto Club of the Bahamas will be there showing their beautiful old cars and trucks; The Bahamas Hot Rod Association will be ready to demonstrate the speeds of their monster machines down the quarter mile track. The Bahamas Jeep Club will have those wonderful go anywhere machines, the 242 Tezza Club will have a show of one of the most attractive mid-size sedans ever produced - the Toyota Altezza - which has become, among the young intelligentsia in Japan, a “cult-classic”.
We have put out feelers to the owners of the “big rigs” and hope to see some of those giants of our roads and, of course, no motoring extravaganza would be complete without those two-wheeled machines, from the 50cc put-put to the 1,000+cc fire breathing dragons we know are out there.
We apologise to all those other clubs not mentioned here and ask all those not officially invited to please contact any or all of the undersigned to state your intention to participate.
Do come out and enjoy our BAHAMAS AUTOMOTIVE FESTIVAL and help us support our displaced and traumatized young ones
