The suggestion that $100 million has been lent to Bahamian students in good faith and most are refusing to pay is hard to believe even in this country where political patronage knows no bounds.
The Minister of Education suggests some people took out loans and have never paid a penny back yet no one is held accountable?
No Ministry of Education employees are asked to account?
No one has been served a summons?
Yet everyone is expected to pay 12% VAT to help cover things like this?
It is madness.
