I'm saddened but shouldn't be because the political process always reveals itself as insoluble.
Surely on "big" issues like the national debt, taxes, the economy, education and crime, just to name a few, the political parties should be able to close ranks and offer ideas for improvement? Or at least debate ideas without rancour?
In addition, groups expected to keep the debate open seem to have closed ranks with Government or have given up in frustration as well.
Either way frustration seems to be the overriding emotion when speaking to other people. The odd thing is it's generally felt handing more power to the state will get things solved. I sense we need just the opposite. Less statism.
What ideas to you have to help solve this crisis of lack of political solutions?
