Will the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Legally Challenge the Business License Renewal Process?

I know, that’s wishful thinking but someone asked if they missed “the part in the Act that cross references other Acts making these letters (this process) relevant and legal?" Emphasis added.

Regretfully, instead of challenging things like this on behalf of the business community they serve the Chamber has come to see its role as going along to get along with the government. Agreeing to arrangements like this are just the thin end of the proverbial wedge to getting more bureaucracy.

I’d bet there are Chamber members that would help fund a legal challenge on this.

The time now wasted with complying with the bureaucracy on VAT and the annual business license process is no less than deplorable.

When was the idea that government should be a burden for the people instituted along with the collusion of the representative's of the business class?
