As many world leaders and progressives pay tribute to Fidel Castro upon his death, it seems odd that they brush off comments about lives he has taken, or had taken, or people imprisoned because they are gay or disagreed with his policies and oh so many more human rights transgressions.
Attempts are made to gloss these crimes against his people over because he “meant well”, “read Marx” and gave the Cuban people “free health care and education”.
