To the Editor -
I am as concerned about the Baha Mar new deal as many others are. While being able to go forward and finally complete/open this resort is a wonderful and long over due accomplishment, the many questions that are unanswered regarding the “deal” struck by our government to enable this effort are boundless.
The Prime Minister has said “Nothing has been offered by way of concessions that has not been offered before to previous investors”. Well, do we even have a clue as to what has been offered before? Why not share this information?
The Prime Minister’s government seems to continue their reign of non-transparency and non-accountability. Is the government meant to serve its people? If so, the current PM and his Cabinet are failing miserably.
Let’s hear the truth and nothing but the truth (for a change). It is long overdue – on this issue and many others!
