That was the headline from Tribune Business yesterday.
The statement was attributed to Mrs. Etoile Pinder, one of the lead members of Sanigest. The folks that are responsible for designing the proposed NHI.
But she is not the first person to make a statement like that. No less a person than the Prime Minister called the Doctors in the country greedy or something similar.
When people resort to shallow rhetoric of this nature it suggests that they have no legitimate response to the pwc report and the questions coming from the BIA and MAB.
But to offer some consolation, at a forum on NHI last night on Jones Communications at COB, Dr. Beneby said words to the effect that, the government will give Bahamians what they need, not what they want. To be clear, this was in response to the suggestion that Bahamians do not want "Primary Care" they want catastrophic coverage.
Presumably there was no money-grubbing by Sanigest as they must have provided their services for free?
