I had always attributed Wayne Munroe with some semblance of grey matter between the ears; however, after hearing his diatribe against Police Commissioner Greenslade, on the news last night, concerning the good officer’s use of social media, I have had to do a serious rethink, as it seems that Mr. Munroe has a few large boulders in there instead.
I am very sorry Mr Munroe but social media, presently, would appear to be the quickest and most direct way to contact the younger and not so young members of society either to advise or warn and also to request information and help, indicating that the Commissioner is doing exactly what Mr. Munroe is telling the Commissioner to do, policing!
I am open to correction but I do not think that any Police Commissioner, in any police department, worldwide, actually goes out to physically arrest the criminals, which is what Mr. Munroe was advising Mr. Greenslade to do; in fact, Mr. Munroe, it is the Commissioner’s job to direct his officers to go out and arrest criminals.
I would suggest, with mouthpieces like Munroe on board, the PLP is finished.
As my mother used to say, "If everyone around you thinks you are a fool, do not open your mouth and thereby prove it."
