News alert: Symptoms of CDS are becoming more apparent among the political class.
At a recent meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, Prime Minister Christie pointed out in his address that:
"The Heads are aware that corruption, lack of transparency and processes and systems which are devoid of accountability undermine democracy, good governance and the credibility of the Governments. All of us in Caricom are committed to best practices for good governance." Read more here…
Either they have just learned this at a seminar for for heads of state or they drank some cool aid that made them forget what goes on at home?
On a serious note. To stand at an international meeting and make comments like this one would think you would have your house in order. How much less transparent and accountable can our government be?
I'm not sure if he means the other political leaders from the region are committed to good governance or he is, because the opposite seems to be happening everywhere.
The only thing that could possibly account for this confusing behaviour is CDS.
