I received the following text and attachments in an e-mail from Mr. Robert Myers president of The Bahamas Chamber and co-chair of the Coalition for Responsible Taxation.
"The attached is our power point presentation converted to a PDF for your information and dissemination. We continue to press the leadership and the government of the country to take responsible action, and as is evident from the Minister of Finances comments in the press last week regarding the fiscal responsibility act, we must work harder to do so. The Government has achieved what they needed in the way of increased revenue and we must now insure that we attain what the people and the private sector wants in the way of fiscal reform and responsibility. Your continued support is necessary and very much appreciated as we continue to drive aggressive PR campaigns that are defiantly helping to educate the citizens of the Bahamas and empowering them to demand what is right and best for the country and not the protection of the status quo. The attached PDF explains the countries fiscal condition as simply and illustratively as possible, we hope it will inspire you to take action."
"Change is happening and remaining united, providing empirical data and not just talk, educating the public and advocating for what is right for our country and just for our people will obtain the types of resolve needed to put the country back on track. Please continue to support and donate to the CRT and join the BCCEC so we can continue our efforts to effect change in a most collaborative, valuable and meaningful way."
"Also attached is the BCCEC membership form and we would ask that you please encourage individuals (yes, we have a category for individual persons) and companies to join the BCCEC and support our efforts."
It's time our government actually did what's best for the country.
Will you help?
