I guess everyone has heard a version of the story about everybody, somebody, nobody and anybody, but it fits many situations.
In the case of tax cheats the actual segment of the Bahamian population that pay their taxes, individuals and businesses alike, want to know why 50% or less of the taxes allowed by law are not being paid or collected.
Somebody in the government should have given a straight answer to Everybody, but Nobody did, although almost Anybody in government could have.
Is it now time for the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance to step up to the plate?
Somebody in government could ask him, because Everybody is now curious, but it's doubtful Anybody will, because Nobody wants to upset the apple cart.
