Politicians being political again? But there is hope with the Cuban beating allegtions?

Mr. Brave Davis, (PLP), Deputy Prime Minister has accused the official opposition of being political over the  Cuban detainee abuse allegations.

It amazes me how Mr. Davis and Mr. Fred Mitchell, Foreign Minister have spent so much time on the idea that the they - the individuals in the PLP party - carried out the alleged beatings.

I don't ever recall reading that anyone actually said this. If you have a link confirming that, please send it along.

The idiom from Shakespeare's Hamlet, "they protest too much", comes to mind.

Having said that, I'm pleased that Tourism Minister Mr. Obie Wilchombe and National Security Minister, Dr. Bernard Nottage see the importance of dealing with this matter once and for all with a proper investigation.

Let's these investigations get under way immediately, it's been too long now, and the report is issued within a couple weeks.
