We enjoyed a brief vacation in Vancouver, BC, Canada recently to visit our children (son and daughter-in-law) there and we had the opportunity to see Roger Hodgson live, and we were simply blown away.
Backed by Aaron Macdonald - Saxophones, Harmonica, Keyboards, Backing vocals, Bryan Head - Drums, Kevin Adamson - Keyboards, Backing vocals, and David J Carpenter - Bass, Backing vocals, the music was absolutely incredible.
They played for over two hours and Roger Hodgson seems so personable it was like we were in his living room.
The set list, that varies for each show, included: Take the Long Way Home, School, In Jeopardy, Lovers in the Wind, Hide in Your Shell, Easy Does It / Sister Moonshine, Breakfast in America, London, Lady, C’est le Bon, A Soapbox Opera, The Logical Song, Death and a Zoo, Lord is it Mine, Child of Vision, Fool’s Overture, It’s Raining Again, and Dreamer. The encore included Two of Us and Give a little Bit.
An unforgettable performance. The wind instruments and drumming were exceptional in my view.
Please visit Roger's web site here… and please buy some of his material. I don't think he's ever written a bad song.
Hope you enjoy London from his 1987 release Hai Hai.
