I mistakenly heard a radio ad today suggesting it would be a mistake to vote for the FNM as they have not announced a choice for Deputy Leader.
The group are obviously supporters of the Opposition, at least to me, but is it really worth worrying about it at this point?
Here's why I ask.
A party Deputy Leader is not a Constitutional requirement, unless I'm mistaken, so a deputy leader can be voted on by those elected to Parliament in my view, so it's a moot point.
Suppose the Leader of a political party loses his bid to get elected but their party wins the election? That's not a big deal either and it has happened before if my memory serves me properly.
If the groups involved would only tell us what their party will do that is so different than the present administration if elected, it might be worth listening to their ads.
Until then, I'll be hitting the off button unless I do not have a choice. i.e. It's not my radio to turn off.
