I don't think I've ever seen a hurricane that was projected to go through the entire chain of Bahamian Islands as Irene is.
According to the map below from HurricanneTrack.com the eye of the storm should be right over Nassau, New Providence Thursday morning, August 25, 2011.
With any luck it will head in a more Northerly direction and spare The Bahamas. But at this point it looks like we're in for a bit of a rough ride in the days ahead.
