I first met Mr. Dean, former assistant commissioner of Police and senior vice president with Atlantis when we were both members of the Rotary Club of East Nassau and regretfully he died on Friday, February 11, 2011 while undergoing treatment in Florida.
Basil was always a gentleman who met you with a warm smile and hearty handshake.
Always respected as a Policeman for his integrity, this only grew when he moved to Atlantis to head up their security.
My thoughts are with Mrs. Dean and the rest of their family.
My life is much richer for having known Basil. He will be missed in our community.
