An AP report suggests that Ms. Bridgewater has allegedly been charged with conspiracy to extort movie star John Travolta and his family after the recent death of his son in Freeport, Grand Bahama.
Apparently Ms. Bridgewater, an attorney is out on bail pending a court date.
This is yet another blow for Mr. Perry Christie's PLP in recent months.
The rule of law is crucial to a civil society, and if Ms. Bridgewater is found guilty of the allegations, this could mark a new dawn with the rule of law in The Bahamas where it has always been believed that one can get off the most henious of crimes if you're well connected?
These are interesting times.
