What are you thinking Mr. Gibson?
Shane Gibson, PLP M.P. has come out in support of the BTC union workers by suggesting they should not be disciplined for their recent actions.
Their recent actions include alleged illegal activity when they blocked Bay Street, our main thoroughfare, with company trucks, and generally created mischief.
This is incredulous! How can a Member of Parliament, who designs laws and their attendant penalties, encourage people to break the law?
To make matters worse, I'm told he made this statement on behalf of the Official Opposition.
Unbelievable!!!
Cuban Eye Programme
Recently it seems our MIniter of Health, Dr. Hubert Minnis has been stricken with a similar virus as Mr. Gibson.
He has been reported as saying the FNM government is reconsidering the so called Cuban Eye programme, where Cuban doctors examine Bahamian patients and transport them to Cuba for treatment.
Does anyone see the irony in this?
People in Cuba are denied rights we take for granted, and our people are being allowed to take advantage of their plight.
Disheartening indeed.
