Well it has happened and we lived to tell the tale. Gas is now selling at $5 per gallon in Nassau, Bahamas.
This seems to be the proverbial hot issue for the press. A story that can get the publics adrenaline pumping I guess?
I continue to hold the view that the sooner gas prices get higher, the better. We will then begin to see the merits of car pooling and conservation and with any luck, the profit from the higher gas prices might even encourage the research and development necessary to bring a new technology to the table.
Even though I work in the automotive industry, the glass is half full on this gas price derby. This (high gas prices) is not a crisis in my not so humble opinion. Have you checked the price of a gallon of imported water lately?
