We have some family and friends in visiting from Canada for the holidays and we took the Bo Hengy up for a day trip to Harbour Island or 'briland as it is referred to by locals.
It was a great day. The weather was beautiful as was the company. Harbour Island was bustling with tourists, Bahamians and foreigners alike.
The first stop was Arthur's Bakery, then on to Princess Street Gallery before we took a self guided tour of the island on a golf cart.
It was then off to lunch at the old Hammerheads at the Harbour Island Marina, which was just splendid.
Of course no trip to 'briland would be complete without the obligatory visit to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world...Pink Sands Beach. 5 miles long and from 50 to 100 feet wide, it is just spectacular.
If there was one disappointment it was a brief visit to Sip Sip to get a drink to walk the beach.
Sip Sip is a gorgeous little restaurant, with excellent burgers and other food, over looking the beach, but they are so busy that the staff does not seem to have the time to acknowledge you.
Undaunted, we waited it out, eventually got our drinks and had a lovely walk on the beach before having to head back to the boat for our return home.
All in all a great day was had by everyone.
