My all time favourite singer/songwriter is Van "The Man" Morrison. We have no less than 38 CD's by him, plus two or three LP's that we have not yet found the CD's for.
Suffice it to say he is a brilliant songwriter.
Never having the opportunity to see him live, we purchased a recently released DVD of two of his separate performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival. He does not have the stage presence of say Eric Clapton, but his music and the different arrangements when done live are just great.
