I know that sounds a little harsh but just think about the Lynden Pindling Airport for a moment.
We have been an independent country since 1973. That's 34 years and this is the first time in my almost 50 years on the planet that I remember all the baggage carousels working at the same time! All right, permit me a little exaggeration, but you get my drift.
So this is a good thing you say? And I agree. But do you realise we had to lease the airport to those foreign bogeymen to accomplish this heretofore unimaginable feat!
Like I said, sometimes it's embarrassing.
However, looking on the bright side, I'm sure glad they're finally working for the sake of our long suffering arriving tourists and Bahamians alike.
