A friend recently took his bicycle rim in for repair and he noticed the clerk was having difficulty filling his repair order in so he offered to fill in his name and other pertinent details.
Just as he was almost finished the "boss" came out and indicated that the clerk had used the wrong form.
So the clerk shuffled over to the file to collect the correct form which she appeared unable to find.
The "boss" found the correct form and gave my friend a tag indicating he could leave and she would fill in the details.
What he saw was embarrassment and anger in the face of the clerk who, as he put it, was doing her best to hide the fact that she was having trouble reading.
His point is well taken and one is given to wonder if the anger being exhibited in traffic or just general problem solving is not somehow related to the failure of our educational system?
What do you think?
