The Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal have released their 2007 Index of Economic Freedom and The Bahamas ranked 24th of 157 countries in the world and 5th of 29 countries in the Americas region.
Although still ranked 24th, the overall rating for The Bahamas has dropped from 72.7 to 71.4 (out of 100 possible).
