Newspaper reports this morning suggest that the PLP will be going to election court to contest four seats won by the FNM in the recent General Elections.
While they have every right to do this under our system it seems peculiar to me and I dare say unprecedented that the party in charge at the time of the election would take a case to election court.
Bear in mind the governing party is in charge of the personnel that appoint the presiding and returning officers and they have their representatives in each polling station.
As I said, I believe it is both peculiar and unprecedented.
Am I wrong?
