Andres Oppenheimer, a foreign correspondent for the Miami Herald wrote CASTRO'S FINAL HOUR An Eyewitness Account of the Disintegration of Castro's Cuba in 1992 and it chronicles the regime in Cuba in great detail.
It is certainly a must read for Bahamian's so they can learn the details Castro sympathizers will never discuss. And as Fidel slips closer to his long walk into darkness there is no better time to understand the paradox we know as Cuba.
Oppenheimer points out that "...Castro would go down in history not as the idealist who started Cuba's social revolution, but as the man who destroyed it."
