I wonder....every summer BEC has the same problem....power outages in one sector of Nassau or islandwide.
And after they inconvenience you for a few hours to a day, they say the usual: "We do realise that it is an inconvenience, and for that we send our apologies and we are doing our utmost to minimise such occurences" (words of General Manager Kevin Basden published in the July 24th, 2006 edition of The Tribune).
Well Mr Basden, if you do realise that you have INCONVENIENCED me, why does this keep happening? I am tired of BEC's apologies and I am really looking forward to when they really do their "utmost to minimise such occurences". Every summer is the same old story....whatever happened to all those generators and upgrading BEC was supposedly doing? And with all that money they're charging per month....surcharge and all....service should be impeccable.
How about if I inconvenience BEC and not pay my bill....lets see if I can apologise....NO! I'll get a swift kick and my electricity promptly turned off.
For all that money they're making, BEC should be the smoothest running service company in the Bahamas....
