The so called "Budget Debate," where politician's speak about everything it seems but the actual budget, has seen the rebirth of the PetroCaribe (Venezuela loans for fuel scheme), debate by two proponents from the Fuel Usage Committee.
If you have read nothing but the emotional oratory of the M.P's for Blue Hills and St. Margaret's please read these two articles by the Nassau Institute along with the various charts and guides:
1. Tempest in a Barrel, released August 2005 and,
2. PetroCaribe Loan Scheme, released October 2005.
To date, we have seen no numbers or projections from the Fuel Usage Committee to support the M.P's claims, but it's not too late to release them.
Hope you will leave a comment or two.
