Anyone ever notice how well we communicate these days?
It seems we live in a constant state of cross purposes and mis or lack of real communication. Especially between Government, Civil service and private sector, but also in our personal communication.
We either bludgeon each other with our views and opinions, or we fail to engage brain before speaking. And on the flip side, once we recieve a communication and disagree with or dispute, we allow the dialog to disintigrate into personal malfeasance and discontinuity. Or we didn't listen as we were to busy thinking of our reply before we knew what we were replying to.
Our cumulative cache of human knowledge is a result of the ideas of many people over the ages being built upon by many more people who practiced the art of listening, and continuing and adding to a thought.
We had better regain this skill, or we risk wasteing the efforts of many special, and also ordinary people who have gone before us. I was always taught that you never us a big word if a few small ones will do.
Just a small thought. Maybe someone will take it a step further?
