Dr. Marcus Bethel was all a glow late this week announcing the new Nationalized Medical programme.
If most other countries that attempt this have failed, what makes Dr. Bethel and the PLP believe they can succeed? We hope they are not depending on the great job we do at managing all the government agencies and departments.

Of course the politicians will use populist rhetoric to accomplish their goals with implementing this rather than consider the economic consequences or other more realistic alternatives.
Every Bahamian should arm themselves with the research of The Fraser Institute in Canada on the Canadian health care problems before agreeing to the pipe dream of Socialized medicine.
Citizen's would be better off paying for private insurance than trusting the govenment with even more of their lives and important personal responsibilities.
