What on earth could education and airline flight arrivals in our country have in common you might ask?
Well, here is the answer.
A friend was at the airport today and as usual there was no way of determining if the flight people were waiting on had landed.
Just as frustration was setting in a very nice gentleman wearing an Airport Authority shirt passed the waiting crowd. A lady asked if the American flight was in from New york and our friend asked if the Air Canada flight was in from Toronto. He rather sheepishly apologized for not knowing.
Are you ready for this???
The lady then sugggested that it was quite simple to resolve. And she indicated that:
1. That the Air Traffic Controllers needed a microphone and sound system to simply announce the flights as the planes arrived,
or better still,
2. They could get some chalk and blackboards from the schools to write the arriving flights on as they were obvioulsy not being used in the schools!!!
If it wasn't so serious it would be hilarious. Perhaps that's what made it funny?
What do you think?
