So now the PLP are in hot water with the unions.
The former government basically spat in the business sectors face with the labour bills and 'protected' the working man and the unions.
It was 'the night of the long knives' when the business community met with the former Prime Minister and he 'informed' the group there that he had decided not to include the laws to 'control' the unions like he was doing to the business sector.
At the time many business people felt the government was making a huge mistake. It is painfully obvious who was right.
Now Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Christie are both angry with 'their' unions doing what amounts to spitting in their faces. Mr. Christie even made the effort to suggest that he fought against the former government from the opposition bench to prevent them passing the 'union bills'. Mr. Mitchell indicated the union is not telling the truth and is obviously fed up with 'negotiating' with them.
Monday morning quaterbacking is such fun. Actually it seems more appropriate and feels better to say: SEE, WE TOLD YOU SO!
