The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce has taken a stand on behalf of its membership by going public in an effort to get the government to take their views into account when drafting the so-called Consumer Protection Act.
The Chamber’s mandate is to assist government with the views of the Bahamian business community when new legislation is proposed.
It is almost criminal that a government ministry does not even respond in writing with reasons for accepting – or not accepting – the input of the business sector!
