May I enter a plea for road users to the road and transport authorities to seriously, but seriously, reconsider speed limits in this country, specifically limits on 2-lane dual carriageways. It is an old axiom that any law which is frequently broken by otherwise well-respected, law abiding citizens is bad law! I regularly travel on John F Kennedy Drive from Harrold Road to the airport at an indicated 50mph, allowing for the 10% speedo error, I’m travelling at 45mph; I am the slowest vehicle on the road! Ohh a road, I might add, that is built for these slightly higher speeds than we are expected to drive at presently. Please Sirs and Madams give this thought, and also while at it, consider aligning New Providence with the Family Islands and make the overall limit, except where posted otherwise, 45mph.
Always in expectation,
