We happened to stumble on the 35th Kennedy Center Honours on Thursday night and boy am I glad we did. There is no doubt that the tributes to Led Zeppelin stole the show.
Hope you enjoy the video from the Kennedy Center Honors below. With renditions of Zeppelin classics from the Foo Fighters, Kid Rock and Lenny Kravitz I thought it couldn't get any better and then Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart) came on stage to perform Stairway to Heaven. With a band, an orchestra, a choir, drumming by Jason Bonham (John Bonham's son) and then an even larger choir, suffice it to say it was incredible!
Visit Led Zeppelin's web site here… and please buy some of their material. The recently released Celebration Day CD and DVD would be a great place to start. We've already bought the CD and can't wait to get the DVD.
