All Bahamians should be grateful that Hurricane Ike decided to give the Northern Bahamas a pass. If all the projections are correct of course.
Early word of mouth reports suggest that 80% of the homes in Turks and Caicos, formerly Bahamian Territory, have been destroyed.
The storm is currently resting over the island of Inagua, in The Bahamas chain. Inagua is the home of the Flamingo preserve and Morton Salt Company. We should all fear for the outcome down there.
Following is a shot from Storm Pulse at 11:00AM, and things do not look good for the people of Cuba. People already deprived by an unconscionable government.
