Any day now the Cuban propaganda will begin to hit the pages of local newspapers again here in The Bahamas calling for the release of the Cuban Five - Five Cubans that have been jailed in the US for espionage.
However, Marc Masferrer over at Uncommon Sense is calling for the release of the group of 56 that are locked up in the Cuban gulag, including "journalists, librarians, human rights activists and other dissidents".
As noted in this blog last April 2007:
Sometimes I am torn that the privileged Cubans like Ambassador Wilson are only doing their job for their maximum leader. But you know what? They are smart enough to know better, which makes them equally as culpable as Castro for the human rights abuses in Cuba.
Then they have the nerve to call for the release of five Cuban's convicted of espionage in the US.
I wonder if they would happily release US citizens if they were charged with espionage in Cuba?
What is almost laughable is that Cuban Embassies and offices all over the world help establish political action groups to support their message about the Cuban Five, but jail their own people that try to mount similar protests in Cuba.
If it wasn't so serious it would make a good comedy skit.
